The project consists of 4-levels of Type VA wood construction over a 1-level Type IA post-tensioned concrete podium. The parking level is below finished grade which requires the use of tall cast-in-place concrete retaining walls around the building perimeter. Notable challenges – Through the usage of cantilevering the post-tensioned slab over the perimeter wall, the balconies above could be supported by wood posts.
