Dorchester Brewing Co – Boston, MA

This design team delivered an expansive exterior roof deck and rooftop greenhouse with 360-degree city views. A challenging addition to the existing structure:

Steel column pierce through the existing concrete roof structure to new & existing pile-supported foundations.
A composite steel transfer frame to support the new greenhouse to avoid overloading the existing roof structure.
Seismic upgrade using select exterior CMU walls
Conceptual design study confirmed project could be completed within budget.
